Council on Hemispheric Affairs appoints Mr. Ernesto Pineda to serve as Senior Research Fellow

Washington, D.C., August 15th, 2016-  Cavla Consulting Group International (CCGI) is proud to announce that Mr. Ernesto Pineda, Associate Consultant at CCGI, has been appointed to serve as a Senior Research Fellow at the Council on Hemispheric Affairs.

In his role as Senior Research Fellow, Mr. Pineda will leverage his expertise and research focus on government institutions, international development and trade, citizen security policies as well as transitional justice in Latin America. The multidimensional professional experience and academic development of Mr. Pineda enhances his research endeavors studying the Central American region and allows him to bring a comprehensive perspective to each of his analyses. COHA subscribes to no specific political credo nor does it maintain partisan allegiances. The professional core at COHA is assisted by a number of COHA senior research fellows from the United States, Latin America and elsewhere, who are generally considered to be leaders in their respective fields of expertise. It has been described on the Senate floor as “one of our nation’s most respected bodies of scholars and policymakers.”

Founded in 1975, the Council on Hemispheric Affairs (COHA) is a nonprofit, tax-exempt independent research and information organization headquartered in Washington, D.C. It was established to promote the common interests of the hemisphere, raise the visibility of regional affairs and increase the importance of the inter-American relationship, as well as encourage the formulation of rational and constructive U.S. policies towards Latin America. Since its inception, COHA has been one of the most active and broadest-based U.S. private bodies dealing with the entire spectrum of political, economic and diplomatic issues, as well as responding to the economic and political challenges confronting the nations of this hemisphere.
